Windows Vista- Display Link or Menu to Downloads on Start Menu

When you download the programs or applications in the Internet Explorer in Windows Vista, such downloaded files are placed inside the “Downloads” directory by default. This directory is in real situated at c:\users\Your_USER_NAME\Downloads.
If you want to make downloads as much easy to access as possible then you must do it only by situating a link to the folder of the download state directly from the start menu. On the other side, allow the Start Menu to expand up to a menu that displays each and every download, allowing you to have easy access to deletion and power options as needed.

1. At initial step you will have to Right-click a vacuous area on the taskbar and choose “Properties”.

In windows XP the Run option is by default available in the start menu but in Windows Vista this feature is not present by default as instead of Run option search box is present in the start menu. I was personalizing my start menu and I somehow dragged the folder ‘start menu’ onto my desktop. It’s not a shortcut – it is the original so it cannot be deleted. I want it off my desktop.. how do I restore it to wherever it was? Everytime I try to move it elsewhere it only creates shortcuts.

The Windows Vista Snipping tool is a great feature available in Windows Vista and now Windows Seven. I love how easy it is to use. You simply open the Snipping Tool by finding it under the accessories section in the start menu and start taking screenshots of anything on your screen. After you have done this you can add text or arrows to your picture that you have captured.

The one problem I have found though, was that when you want to take a screenshot of a drop down or popup menu, it will not do it…Ahh but don’t panic, I have a solution for you. Watch this video to see this and other little tricks.

If you have a slow internet connection, press play on the video, then press pause and let it load, then press play again when you see the red bar is loaded.
