We have deleted the items from the desktop and then from the trash, but every morning when we logon the deleted items have returned to the desktop again.

Also…we can’t seem to save anything to ‘my documents’ – can only save to the desktop.

We are on a network server.

Any ideas on how we can fix this?

In normal way, when you need to switch your focus from one window panel to the other one, you need to click on the desired window pane with the mouse in Windows Vista.
In few computing situations, the focus automatically transfers between the two windows only by hovering upon those windows with the help of mouse pointer.

The Windows Vista provides accessible tools which offer the hovering feature which will save your precious time in case you are working on multiple windows at the same time.

Steps to Activate Windows by Hovering Over them:

1. Select the Start button and in the search box type “ease of access”.
2. You will see the “Ease of Access Center” link as a result and just click over it.
3. As the window of the “Ease of Access Center” appears, you need to scroll down in order to find “Explore all settings” and then select “Make the mouse easier to use”.
4. As the mouse settings popup, check mark the option “Activate a window by hovering over it with the mouse”.
5. Then select the “Save” tab in order to activate the defined feature, you will have to scroll down in order to find this save button.
6. Finally close the “Ease of Access Center” dialog box and you are done!

Follow the above easy steps and change the settings of your computer according to your needs. Keep watching the space for more computer tips and tricks.

I bought cheap copy of Windows Vista Ultimate, and would want to upgrade my Windows Vista Starter to that Ultimate. Actually, thinking that Ultimate is around 15,000 to 20,000 pesos here in the Philippines, and my copy is only 200 pesos. Will it work? Will my previous files and programs will be lost? Will Windows trace it if I will get regular updates (or do I need updates?)? thanks.
