This actually seems to be a step backwards in case of Windows Vista. In the Windows XP version there is no item named “Delete” when you right click on to the Recycle Bin on Desktop. Surely on Windows Vista this option is do available.

Many people who are not familiar with the operating system may get confused. They may not understand the difference between emptying the recycle bin option and delete option. Until and unless they understand they may have deleted it.

This happens because they do not read the popup dialog box clearly. They think its all like going to click yes and yes only. There carelessness places them in trouble. Then finally they react, whoops! Recycle bin vanished.

To get back the Deleted Recycle Bin icon on Desktop:

• As a duty click on Start button, then select the option Control Panel and select the option “Personalization”.
• Amongst the options given on right hand side in the large white area, it’s simple to miss the “Change desktop icons” that is present in the top hand side on left part, but you need to click on it.
• After selecting it, you will see a handy window pane named “Desktop icon settings”.
• Check mark the check box named Recycle Bin and then just click on OK button. The Recycle bin icon will again appear on the desktop.
Follow the above steps and make your pc work according to you.
