yes you can run it..you graphic card is a lil bit old but its ok..
I am a gamer, i use vista ultimate and i dont have several problems.
For those who dont know, vista are the same as xp but with better and nice interface.they look fancy.
the only problem is that the are still on SP1 and not SP3 like xp!
Of course they have problems, if you use your pc for work i DONT recommend, for everything else its nice!!! :)

I regret installing Vista on my computer. I have a decently fast computer 4gb or RAM nVidia 9600GT, Dual Core E8500 and 2 Raptor HDs running as 1 (RAID 0). The only reason I still have it on my PC is b/c I help people almost everyday via my site ClearTechInfo.com and I need I make Vista video tutorials for them.

I uninstalled Vista on my 2 workstation PCs at work and reinstalled Win XP. I am a LOT happier now.

If you are a gamer you will NOT like it b/c Vista takes more system resources than XP so you have less PC hardware power for your games.

I would say save your money then upgrade your hardware to prepare for Windows 7 which is going to rock.

If after reading the above, you still want Windows Vista I suggest purchasing, "Windows Vista Home Premium".

It is recommended you dont upgrade because an xp machine performs poorly with vista installed. You can but make sure you add more ram. Use home edition or home basic.

You are cutting it fine with the 1.5 GB of ram, but even so, it should run no bother.
