There are a number of reasons that somebody would have to take the necessary steps to reinstall Vista on their home computer. A catastrophic event could have caused data loss or you may have spilled coffee into your system and had to reinstall a hard drive. When looking to reinstall Vista and keep the license key, you shouldn’t have any worries.
Some people may question whether they can repeatedly reinstall Vista and keep the license or if some anti-copying software will eventually repeal them. As long as the Vista copy is being reinstalled on the same computer, you can get away with several reboots without risking losing the licensing agreement.
Also, if you are removing Vista from your existing computer before transferring it to a new machine you are within the legal bounds of your agreement. You purchase the rights to use Vista as a whole and it doesn’t have to be restricted to a certain computer. If the reinstall Vista and keep license fails because the Microsoft server detects fraudulent measures, a call to the company may be necessary. After explaining your situation, the customer service representatives will provide you with a phone activation code to reset the process.
I bought a laptop that has windows vista, and it is new to me. When I look at the task manager it says there are around 66 processes, but when I count them in the task manager I count around 40. What is the deal with this?? Also it says my cpu usage is always fluctuating, but when I look at the processes it doesn’t say any of them are using the cpu. Lastly some of the processes have *32 at the end of them. If anyone has some help on this that would be great thanks!

I went on the website and there were two different prices. one was for if you already have windows 7 and want to upgrade the other’s price was way higher. So I want to know if windows vista premium is already windows 7 or what?
There are so many new features on Windows Vista compared to Windows XP. This video tutorial from Pcwizkid will show you how to enable some of these cool extras and addons. One of the cool things things you can do is animate your desktop wallpaper by using a WMV file. If you like tweaking your computer and adding extra features then this video is great to watch. This video will also show you:
Enable Windows Vista Dream Scene
Enable animation in your wallpaper
Enable Windows Vista Aero even if you have Windows Vista Ultimate or Business
I just bought a new computer with windows vista home premium. I downloaded limewire and as expected I don’t have the proper codecs to play any videos. I know Klite codecs (Full) works on it but when I install it I don’t know what boxes I should check or uncheck to make sure all videos will play. Because when I just install it without checking any boxes it still won’t play any videos. Please be very specific and detailed when responding. To all Thank You!
I have been using Quick Books 3 Pro addition for, well six years on a OS of Windows XP Home Edition. I recently purchased a new Laptop and the OS is Windows Vista. When I loaded my Quick Books on the laptop, the load went well but opening the program is another story. When executed to open, the screen flashes to the opening page but then quickly as it came on, it goes off. What is wrong?
A watermark is a faded picture that lies behind the text of a document. It might say “Do not copy” or “Confidential” or anything you like. In microsoft word you can easily add a watermark to your document.
You can watch this video on how to add a watermark to a word 2007 document or you can read a full tutorial with screenshots at Add a Watermark to Word 2007.
Please note that if you have a slow internet connection then press play for a second, then press pause to load the video. Then it should be fine to watch without jumping and stalling.
I want to put windows xp pro on my laptop instead of windows vista because windows downloads very slow and plays videos very slow. Has anyone else had this problem with windows vista and done the same?
